Q) This is just awful. I am just in middle of working and then .. nothing. My sites all of them gone can no longer connect to provider either their billing site not up help site gone. Creative Networks in UK. I am in total shock. All my business is those sites and my international partner. Does anyone know anything about this? Someone said they can still access http://www.cn-hosting.co.uk/ is this true? As far as I can tell they went down at lunch and I am unable to access anything relating to them. AS for backups then I am not up to date on a harddrive but to another server. Hmmm also hosted by them. Oh no. Someone said not to worry for 2 days! Too late I hit panic and started feeling violently ill at noon. Can any one access details on this company so I can hope to contact them in office hours tomorrow. HOw do I change my domain pointer? My domains were through them too so all the sites I used to support them are gone. I have 12 domains to tackle here.

A) First... they may just be OFFLINE due to a catastrophic equipment failure (My ex-favorite hoster was down due to an extended power problem).... However if not... go with a DOMESTIC HOSTER... I'm sure... you have copies of your code on your local hard drive. Bluehost.com (my new favorite) is only 10 bucks a month. Just change your domain pointer to them.

Adult sites on my computer?

Q) i'm a mum or three young boys age between 16 and 10. and i use our internet the other day and when i was checking my emails. I got a pop up saying that the pc has kept a list of the adult sites someone has visited. that got installed when they went on it. and it offered me a free scan and this drive cleaner. does this mean that someone has visited adult sites and how do i check that they have visited the sites.. i checked the history and there was nothing on there..my sons must of some how deleted what they have been on.. so have they or is it some site trying to say they have been on it

A) No, don't panic, this is a pop-up and means nothing - don't go blaming your boys! I have the same thing happening on mine every so often. Make sure your anti-virus software is up to date.

Q) Do sites that let you get past blocked sites eg. http://www.surfindark.com block people from seeing what you have atually been on eg if you went on games at work could your boss look on your history and see u have been on games or does the site block him from seeing that information????

A) Technically (IP-wise), the visited site never sees your identity, and you don't have a direct connection with the visited site. However, I just tried with the site you provided (surfindark), and when you visit a site (site.com), the url is appended to the original url (siteindar.com/blabla/site.com). So it can be viewed in the history of your browser. But as I said, if you find a proxy that doesn't append url's like that, you'd be untraceble. (Unless of course some legal dept. requests the logs from the proxy company)

Are there any sites where as a trader I can sell my stuff, I use Amazon, Play CQout and ebay at the moment but I would really like to add sites to my repertoire. However I always get answers of Sell(.com) which is not open to merchants yet. Craigslist which is just for selling goods in your local area. or Zeusbay which is a very poor imitation of ebay (last I looked they only had about 100 items listed!. So to reiterate any sites that accept a UK based seller and does not include; Amazon Play CQout eBid eBay Craigslist Sell Zeusbay Any help would be genuinely appreciated. Regards

A) Have you considered creating your own site.....and avoiding those fees? If interested - I'll be pleased to send along a link that you may enjoy researching. Lots of great info-nuggets that can help you...as well as a vehicle.

Are sites like Alexa and snap.com infringing copyright when they take a snapshot of a web page and store it?

Q) Alexa.com and snap.com and some other sites take screenshots of web pages and store them on their site and make them publically available without getting the site owner's permission. Is this not illegal or does it count as fiar use?

A) Anytime anyone takes content created by others and distributes it without permission, they are breaking the law, and infringing (assuming a copyright was created for the item in question) on copyright. Whether it would be worth it to sue over something like that depends on how it's being used and how it portrays the item, and if the infringer is making money off it. In many cases with internet infringment, there's probably a lot of people (on Myspace for instance) who just find random cool pics and post them on their page. Are they infringing? Yes. But as they aren't distrubuting it in the traditional sense, and aren't generating revenue off it, the only purpose to sue would be for control, and for most sensible people, that's not enough of a reason. In many cases this type of infringement actually drives traffic to the original site (if it's linked), and in the case of Alexa, it most definetely drives traffic to the original, so I would doubt very seriously if most of those being "infringed upon" care. In fact they probably are in favor.

Are there any sites like Singingfish?

Q) I mean, the site's gone. It redirects to the worst site ever basically - AOL Video. So i'm looking for a site like Singingfish, since AOL screwed it over. I've asked and all people tell me is sites like Dogpile and stuff but I need a site that gives me the direct download to it, not redirects me to the site with the download. Also a site that's simple. Winamp has the Singingfish search built inside and somehow it works but I want a site so don't say anything about the one in Winamp, I don't want to go on Winamp everytime. sensored sites? how to access?? hellp...!!?

Q) here in pakistan our government sensored many porn sites, but without research:( so they also sersored many sites whcih dont have porn, for exapmle they sensored all www.20m.com sites, they said 20m.com or www.freeservers.com is a free servers so many peoples have uploaded porn there,so they sensored all 20m sites, its so so stupid, so along with porn sites on 20m servers the CLEAN sites also got sensored:(( i had my own personal website(clean) on 20m.com servers,its not opening in pakistan:(what should i do now?? any trick to access these restricted sites? plz plz help me?

A) i don't know if this will work....try by passing it. www.bypassit.net then access the website (s). It may work. I doubt it. Try it anyway.

BLOCKED web sites!! help!?

Q) When im at school on the computer and I try and go to sum web sites like my pace and baby sites they wont let me ( dont worry Im a mommy) any way I can never get through the broswer.. DHCP For Remote Sites?

Q) I was assigned to make a connection between two sites (A & B) with 512kbps dedicated lease line. Site A (2 DCs) and Site B (1 DC) integrated with Sites and Services configurations. Site A is at 192.168.0.x whereas Site B is at 192.168.3.x. DHCP server is at Site A's DC2. My question is how do I configure the DHCP Server so that the clients in Site B can obtain 192.168.3.x instead of 192.168.0.x? DHCP Superscope? How do I configure both end of the lease line routers? Should I configure the relay agent on the routers? Please advise. Thank you in advance. Thank you guys for your reply. For GTB, your answer to me is too deep before I clarify my confuse part as below: For Necros, I think you got my "confusing part". Let me explain further, hope you guys can help me on that. Actually I am newbie in setting up windows server. At now, my Site A is running smoothly with 2 DC replicating each other. My plan is to integrate another DC from Site B by using sites replication. The problem is will I still see Site B's DC pointing to the same DHCP server with 192.168.0.x range? I am confusing at this part. Because from what I see from my Site A, DC1 and DC2 is sharing the DHCP range. I afraid if I replicate DC3 from Site B, it shares the same range too! This will be a big problem for me, all my clients in Site B will obtain 192.168.0.x and not 192.168.3.x Any good advice?

A) You *can* install a DHCP relay for site B, But why ? If you've got a DC on site B, Install DHCP Services onto it and have DHCP take care of at the local level. AD / DNS will update the info between the sites so finding individual PC's shouldn't be a problem. Plus you can concentrate on controling the replication traffic and maximizing throughput instead of having constant DHCP overhead.

A) First you need a professional website host to publish your site. Next you need a shopping cart. Then if you are planning to buy sell things through credit card, I mean online transaction then you have two option - 1. Use Paypal, Paypaisa,etc services else 2. Sign up a Merchants account with a Bank that provides online transaction facility. Then you can hire a professional who can do the stuff for you.... it takes a little time to learn programming if you are not into web programming and still planning to do it yourself. ELSE Join E-bay, bazee or other online selling and auctioning place where you can set up your account and sell your stuff... this one easy and I have heard it works good.

A) I am a man who has been married for 20 years, and not only have I never done that, I never would. If your husband is seeking sex outside your marriage, he is scum, plain and simple. This is serious and he apparently either doesn't realize it or he doesn't care. I recommend you do your best, in a big, big way to make him realize and care how badly he is screwing up in his marriage.
